Give to Strengthen

Team Faith Rx’d, I stand amazed as I reflect back on this past year and take in all that God has accomplished through Faith Rx’d in 2014. Presently there are 26 chapters across the US, plus our first overseas in the UK and Ukraine, with unprecedented annual growth. What we do through local chapters and our Iron Sharpens Iron (ISI) camps allows new avenues for the incredible message of Christ’s love to reach athletes, coaches and affiliate owners, on their own turf, by people who share the same passion for strength and fitness. People like Michael, a strip club owner and CrossFit enthusiast who has been frequenting the chapter where he lives. He said, “It was the demonstration of selflessness in the other members cheering on the last place finisher of the workout that spoke to me the most.” His chapter leader was able to compare that same kind of concern to God’s love by sending His son to rescue the lost, last and least. Daniel was another life impacted at one of our Iron Sharpens Iron camps. He said, “I left the ISI camp a stronger person inside and out. I realize I have a long way to go but I’m better than I was yesterday. ISI was a life changing weekend for me, I developed relationships with other athletes and coaches; without a doubt… Iron DOES sharpen iron!” Michael and Daniel are just two of many who are experiencing the transformative message of Christ through Faith Rx’d. As we continue to advance the vision, we challenge people in our fitness community to strengthen their faith and live it out in service to their communities. In addition, we have crossed significant mile markers this year:
  • Attained 9,498 unique viewers on our website, 5,002 Facebook likes and 3,095 followers on other social media channels for a total of 17,595 points of engagement
  • Developed the 8-week “STRONG” devotional series centered on 2 Peter 1:5-8 as an on-ramp for all our chapters
  • Arranged for the autobiographical sketches from our Athlete New Testament to be translated and published in Ukraine and Slovenia
  • Hosted the first ever series of morning devotions at the 2014 CrossFit Games
As we look to the future, the need is big, but not impossible! We are looking for individuals willing to partner with us to impact even more people in 2015. And this is why I am writing to you. We need your help to keep up with this rapid growth and continue to serve the vision God has set before us. I am asking you to consider making a one-time or monthly contribution to our year-end ‘Give to Strengthen’ Campaign. With your help we can continue to strengthen our fitness community for Christ-centered living and impact.
